Hurricane Dumps 20 Foot of Water into Site Excavation

Challenge: Hurricane Katrina floods your site causing several high capacity footings to settle.  You need a fast, permanent fix to a serious problem.

Solution: Kaufman lifted three 300 kip footings back to their original elevations using 34 Atlas piers with 784 ft. of pipe, then grouted the voids under the footings.  Project was successfully completed in Fall of 2005 requiring approximately 8 working days.
