Rapid Response saves schedule using helical tiebacks

Challenge:

Provide lateral support to a shoring wall after monitoring the lateral movements at the top of wall determined that tiebacks would be required to stabilize wall.

Solution:

Combining the resources of Kaufman Piering and Kaufman Concrete Cutting we were able to install 76 Chance helical anchors as tiebacks using the SS175 product with a 6/8/10/14/14/14 helix configuration.

Benefits:

Kaufman was able to mobilize on site within 24 hours of notice and perform necessary engineering, testing, and installation to meet the fast track construction schedule.

Helical tiebacks are capable of carrying full loads immediately following installation. Work was completed on schedule.
